Both of Hays's books on the Gospels and the Old Testament are theologically rich! I wonder if you've read Seitz's book in the Studies in Theological Interpretation series (above) and, if so, what you thought of how Seitz engaged with Hays...
I've appreciated Seitz's take on this issue for some time, Richard. And that "conversation" between Seitz and Watson is worth a read, if you can find a way to read it.
